Yeoor Hills or Mama-Bhanja Hills - is one of the most scenic hills region. This popular picnic spot is also home to a large species of birds and animals, most popular being leopards. Also located here is the 150-year old Mama-Bhanja Temple.
Talao Pali – is the one of the thirty lakes that dots the landscape of Thane district. This beautiful lake is an important tourist attraction and a boat ride across the lake is always a nice experience. Water scooters and boats are available for water sports enthusiasts.
Ambarnath - is an important pilgrim centre located close to Thane. It’s main attraction is the 11th century Ambreshwar Shiva Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is particularly crowded during the Shivratri festival.
Titwala - is another pilgrim center near Thane and is popular for the Maha Ganesh Temple or Siddhivinayaka Temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The temple also has a sanctum dedicated to Lord Shiva.
